Wash Care Guide
Our swim pieces are designed to be timeless and everlasting, but taking care of them correctly can allow them to be with you for a long time to come. Here are a couple of things to take note of when washing your Align swimwear!
Always Hand Wash
Always opt to hand wash your Align swimwear instead of putting it in the wash machine! Handwashing is more gentle and allows you to extend its life while also removing chemicals, salt and body oils after every use.
Use Gentle Detergent
Use a gentle fabric detergent when washing your Align swimwear! Simply rinse it in cool tap water, soak in liquid detergent for 30 minutes, and rinse off with more cool water.
No Bleaching
Avoid using bleach on your Align swimwear at all costs. Instead, dampen the area with cool water, gently knead a bit of soap on the affected area, and soak and wash as per normal!
Dry Flat on a Towel
Gently squeeze excess water out, and lay your swimwear flat on a towel to air dry. Do not wring it or hang it on a hanger to dry as it stretches the fabric.
Store in Garment Bags
Store your swimwear in a non-plastic garment bag and store it in a cool and dry area. Do not store your Align swimwear in plastic bags as it might deterioriate and encourage the growth of bacteria.
Avoid Using Heat
Never use heat on your Align swimwear pieces. Avoid ironing, putting the pieces in the dryer, or even letting it dry in direct sunlight. Heat can sometimes break down the delicate fabric and compromise the colour of your swimwear.
